 Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! It has been a really wet & rainy week here in NE Georgia! That tropical storm may have been hundreds of miles away but it sure rained on our parade all the way up here. The plants & trees are loving it. At least it keeps the temps down.

Today I have a pretty quick retirement card...this Follow Your Dreams Sign Post would also be wonderful for graduation. After I stamped & colored it onto a die cut panel, I stamped the little sign parts again & cut them out to pop up on top. The other layers were leftovers already in my stash & the colors went, so there you go! On the top kraft panel, I stamped the World Map a few times in rust colored ink then added little white strips to make it stand out from the larger kraft panel. On that one, I stamped the little 4 in 1 Arrows in the same ink. I die cut some little arrows & added them down the left side.
Here's a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
stamps: DRS Designs - Follow Your Dreams Sign Post World Map4 in 1 Arrows  (inside- As You Retire )
paper: Staples 110# white, dk orange, dk brown, kraft
ink:  Memento tuxedo black,  Distress ink rusty hinge
accessories:  Misti, Copic markers, stitched rectangles & long skinny stitched mats dies, arrow border die

If it ain't got that swing...

What is it about plaid and golfing??  Whenever I start thinking about making any kind of golfer card I usually start by pulling out a plaid stamp.

I started my card this week with a green and blue plaid on bright lime card stock using our Woven Plaid stamp (it's hard to tell here, but in real life you can see the different colors)

For my golf scene I started by masking my card slightly above center and sponging on turquoise ink, using the edge of a ripped paper towel for the clouds.  Next I reversed the mask and sponged on 3 different green inks and then stamped out Easy Grass Background on top using the medium green ink.  I stamped our Silhouette Golfer on top using a well inked black pad and our new Ain't Got that Swing using turquoise ink.  The golf ball on the tee was taken from our small Golf Stamp which I stamped on scrap and colored and cut out.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

One Fish, Three Fish

>> Wednesday, June 21, 2017

Hello friends!

Fish have been on my brain this past week.  It started out when one of my Hello Fresh dinners was grilled catfish - loved it sooo much.  Then my daughter left some Halibut in my fridge for a few days (when she told us they were boiling it in Sprite and dipping it in butter so it would taste like lobster, I didn't want to give it back- lol).

The rain has been so heavy the last few days, and I started feeling like a fish.

Soooooo, I have fish cards for you today.  I used the same stamps and stencil for each card and used the same water color spritzing technique (learned from THIS video by Kelly Acheson). My first card was not on water color paper, but my second one was and the difference is remarkable. SU! Ink was used on both cards.

For both cards, I used the Big Mouth Bass image and the Sun Shine On You Greeting

Super fun!

God Bless Your Retirement

>> Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Hi Everyone,

I often dream about what we will do when we hit retirement age, but it's a few years in the distance for us.  Winter in Florida? Travel? Buy a ranch? ( A one level house, not property with!)  It's fun to think about, but at the same time I don't want to wish my life away.  So, while I'm living my life until then, I'll just have fun creating some cards with a retirement theme :)

It's a cream and black monochromatic card that I have for my share today, featuring the lovely God Bless Retirement Greeting that was stamped and die cut.

I created the background using the Polka Dot Flower and layered onto it a strip of Swiss Dot embossed paper and punched flower border.

For embellishment, I stamped the flower on black paper and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I fussy cut it, attaching it to the card with a piece of foam tape and adding a black gem.
Here is a close up:

Here's to everyone who's blessed to live long enough to make those retirement dreams come true!

Have a great day!

Retirement Wishes

>> Monday, June 19, 2017

Hi everyone. My card today reflects where I want to be when I retire. I love the beach. Early morning and late evening walks on the beach are two of my absolute favorite things. I'd love to retire on or close to a beach.

I started by creating the background with distress inks and sponges. Once the sand, sea and sky were the way I wanted I stamped the splatter background image onto the sand with distress ink for some more definition. The retirement greeting was stamped with Versafine Onyx ink, die cut and layered onto blue CS. The 4 in 1 seashells were stamped with Memento Black ink, colored with Copics, fussy cut and added to the greeting panel. Once glued on, I added some sparkle with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen. The clouds and sun were die cut, sponged with a dab of ink and added to the sky before everything was attached to the white card base. Now I want to go to the beach!!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Sandy Beach

>> Sunday, June 18, 2017

Hi all, hope your weekend has been a blast.

For my card today I used the new Sandy Mermaid, this stamp is so cute it reminds me of my granddaughter playing on the beach.

I stamped her and colored with Copic. On the blue background I stamper the Anchor with Coco Ink and the greeting is As You Retired Greeting. The brown paper was embossed in a embossing folder then I rubbed Nuvo Mousse in Comic Brown over the top.

I took a little trip over to a beautiful garden this week, I always come home with so many ideals. So I spent Saturday working in the yard.

Have a Wonderful day,

Fun, Fun, Fun

Good morning!
Happy almost Father's Day!

We're just monkeying around.  Doesn't that remind you of the old Monkeys song?  Well for all of you old enough to remember that group anyway!!

I used the DRS stamp: Ain't Got That Swing 191D, Hang In There Monkey 892F, Leafy Tree Branch 395H and Flowering Tree Branch 083H and a bit of masking for this fun card.  It's a party invitation!!
My background was done with Oxide Inks and a credit card.
This was also a sketch from SCS.

My next card is fun at the beach.
Our little girl has her mermaid tail towel and a sand castle going on.
Looks like she is having fun to me!
I used DRS stamps: Picture Perfect Day 084E, Sandy-Mermaid 182F, Sandcastle 090G, Sea Grass 128L, 4 in 1 Seashells 473F, and Sand Snow Water Lines 1114D for this card and did a bit of masking while stamping.

The frame was made with Tonic dies and Taylored Expression dies. The Seagulls, fence and bucket are from I.O.

Thanks for visiting today!
